WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is a chemical compound found in the Hemp and/or the Cannabis plant that provides therapeutic relief without an induced “high”. CBD works with the body’s homeostasis system (Endocannabinoid System) to restore and recreate balance in the body.

 Top 3 CBD Myths:

  1. You do not need a Medical card to purchase or consume CBD. You do, however, need to be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent.
  2. CBD will not get you High. CBD is required by law to contain less than 0.3% THC. THC creates the psycho-active effect in Marijuana.
  3. CBD is not addictive – while it is best to consume consistently for the best effects, you will not become chemically dependent upon or addicted.

The consistent and effective use of CBD can provide many solutions to problems like:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression

  • Chronic Pain

FAQs

Will CBD get me high?

No. CBD does not contain the psycho-active compounds found in THC or marijuana substances.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, CBD is legal. The most important year for CBD legalization (so far) was 2018 when the Agriculture Improvement Act (also known as the 2018 Farm Bill) was signed into law. “Farm bills are legislation that govern agricultural production and are updated every few years,” says Slade. “They basically serve as the federal government’s enabling laws to regulate and provide guidance on agriculture and food.”

The 2018 Farm Bill was the first time a farm bill included hemp cannabis plants. It effectively made the cultivation, production, and sale of industrial hemp federally legal and regulated. When this change occurred, brands selling products containing CBD were elated because it meant hemp farmers would be able to extract CBD from their plants for ingestible purposes legally.

AND Yes, cannabinoids are generally well tolerated by most people, and you cannot overdose on CBD. Drowsiness is the most common side effect.

Is CBD safe?

It is important to look for CBD that has been 3rd party tested by a Lab, or ISO Accredited source. The only way to know for sure if the dosage is accurate, is to view the COA (Certificate of Analysis) for all CBD products you wish to consume. If a company does not have a COA available, you may decide to look elsewhere.

It is also important to review the ingredients in CBD products to be sure there are no additives, fillers, preservatives, or other unnecessary ingredients.

Will CBD have negative side effects with my prescription medications?

CBD does interact with certain medications, so if you are on any prescriptions and use CBD, there are a variety of activities that could occur. However, we also want to mention that most clients who use both, quickly find that they do not need both, and that CBD can create some of the same relief as their prescriptions, if not more.

We recommend that you always consult with your doctor. However, we have seen several clients reduce their regimen of pharmaceuticals and even reverse conditions with the help of Wachter Wellness Co. products. It is also important to note that CBD compounds do not contain any pharmaceutical or chemical ingredients, thus rendering it unable to alter your body or brain with harmful consequences when it is not combined with any other medications. CBD is an all-natural substance.

What are the differences between the different cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, etc)

Cannabinoids are a group of naturally occurring chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. They can interact with receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system to produce a variety of therapeutic effects. There are over 120 known cannabinoids and many more yet to be discovered. CBD is proven to elevate mood, relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. Overall, it targets inflammation. CBG supports focus and alertness, and relieving tension. CBG supports the brain and gut connection. CBN supports good sleep! It promotes relaxation, calmness, and enhances restfulness. Check out our blogs and education page to learn more!

Will I fail a drug test?

This isn’t a clear yes or no answer. It depends on what spectrum of products are consumed. For those concerned, it is best to consume a broad spectrum or isolate product.

Do I need an MMCC to purchase products from your company?

No. We do not sell medical marijuana. All our products contain the legal limit of THC or less as required by law.

What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate?

Full Spectrum CBD contains THC, Terpenes, and Cannabinoids. The legal limit of THC is up to 0.3%. Broad Spectrum CBD contains Terpenes and Cannabinoids, but the THC content is 0%. This is one of the recommended options for those who have concerns about drug testing. CBD Isolate contains only the Cannabinoids, no terpenes or THC.

What is a COA?

A COA is a Certificate of Analysis, which provides the results of Lab Testing on all CBD products. The Certificate of Analysis provides a breakdown of all contents in the CBD you are consuming, as well as the percentage levels and types of CBD in the product.

What is included in a consultation?

The most important information we are looking to gather during a consultation is:

  1. What form of CBD would be best for your ailments?
  2. What dosage strength and amount are best for beginning your personalized regimen?
